Tiger PAWS Literary Art Journal
Tiger PAWS (Personal Academic Writing Space) is a showcase of student work consisting of writing, in both English and Spanish, and artwork that is published in hardcopy and online forms at the end of fall and spring semesters. St. Philip’s students are encouraged to submit their writing and artwork for publication consideration. Categories include:
- Short Fiction (1000 word limit)
- Non-fiction (essays, journals, etc.)
- Fine Art (paintings, sculpture, collages, etc.)
- Digital Art
Student submissions must be original, unpublished work. The Spring 2014 semester deadline is March 7, 2014. Files submitted online must be in PDF, Word, or JPEG formats. Fine art may be taken to the Integrated Reading and Writing (INRW) Lab for 0420 in NTB 405 to be photographed or scanned.
Students may also apply to be part of the editorial staff. The student editorial staff helps choose which submissions will be published. Student editors may also be eligible for a scholarship ($1250 for full-time or $700 for part-time students). Deadline to apply to be an editor is March 7, 2014.
At the end of fall and spring semesters, published students will have an opportunity to present or display their work at the Tiger PAWS publication event. All are invited to attend, and copies of the journal will be distributed.
