Ms. Artemisia Bowden served 52 years (1902-1954) at St. Philip’s College. Her visionary leadership carried St. Philip’s through monumental transformations, evolving from a parochial day school to an industrial school and into a fully accredited two-year college offering a diverse curriculum.

Join us on March 1st, 2012 as we celebrate the life and achievements of Ms. Artemisia Bowden with a day of fun, food, art and entertainment. For more information please call Rebecca Barnard at 486-2583.

St. Philip’s College invites all to join in a tribute to the history of education in Texas with a two-part ceremony March 1 on the 114-year-old college’s main campus at 1801 Martin Luther King Drive. For more information, download the news release.
