Reading Learning Center

The Reading Learning Center provides support for the students who are enrolled in the Developmental Reading Courses. The Reading Lab is designed to increase Reading comprehension by providing techniques for reading college level textbooks and increase vocabulary in order to meet academic demands. This is accomplished through the use of a variety of Reading software programs.

In addition to providing software programs to students enrolled in Developmental Reading, tutoring is also available. Reservations are recommended; however, we do accept walk-ins.

We offer a special remedial program entitled PASS-FUNDAMENTALS OF READING (READ 0050.001) to prepare students for entrance into the Developmental Reading courses. It is a self-paced, non-graded program.  There is a charge of $48.00 for the class. Students utilize the Reading software programs to enhance their skills. Upon completion of the course they receive a certificate and are eligible to enter the beginning Developmental Reading 0301 course.
